Nestling between the mountains and the sea, at this beautiful newly refurbished Cumbrian hotel, you are only a short drive to the spectacular scenery of the English Lake District. The owners have continually invested in the fabric of the building which now offers 45 superbly appointed bedrooms and three dining experiences - the Rosette Awarded restaurant, Terrace Bistro & Bar and the attractive luxurious lounges and bar. In addition, this is also a popular venue for weddings.
In the AA Rosette awarded winning Restaurant, the a la carte menu changes daily and is imaginatively prepared using the very best of local seasonal produce. Their brigade and suppliers are people that are passionate about their craft and the countryside around them and their aim is to support and promote home-grown and locally produced food.
As an experienced Chef de Partie, you will work in an experienced brigade in a “dream of a kitchen”. This is a new, state of the art kitchen which will enable you to do your job effectively and painlessly! You must be a good all rounder, able and willing to work across all sections and all dining outlets. You must demonstrate that you can produce good quality food to rosette standard. Your experience can be gained in a quality hotel or good quality pub that serves exceptional food using seasonal fresh ingredients.
Live in accommodation is available and your basic salary will be reviewed once you have proved your ability in the kitchen.
