er. This award follows the glowing Investors in People report earlier in the year where the company was praised for its strong ethos of work/life balance.
MD Richard Mellor expressed his delight at the award:
People are our business so it’s especially pleasing to receive recognition for Excellence in People Development. My ethos is when at work give 100% then enjoy and reward yourself in your leisure. I’m not saying don’t think about work at home but don’t worry about it.
Happy staff stay longer and experienced employees are a very valuable asset to the company. It’s a costly business having to re-recruit and re-train and not good for morale. A good work life balance means a happy workforce and a positive work environment and no clock watching.
